Erdogan Holds Talks with Ex-Bosnian Official in Istanbul

(MENAFN) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met on Saturday in Istanbul with Bakir Izetbegovic, a former member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidential Council. The meeting was held behind closed doors at the Dolmabahce Working Office, according to a statement from the Turkish Presidency.

Under Bosnia and Herzegovina’s constitution, the three-member council collectively serves as the country’s presidency, with one Bosniak, one Serb, and one Croat holding seats, and the chair rotating every eight months. Izetbegovic served as the sixth Bosniak member of the council from 2010 to 2018.
